The Banffshire Kronach twinning is a partnership between the Historic Bnaffshire region and the district of Kronach in Bavaria, Germany, which has existed since 1973. The Association fosters community links through activities such as school and community group exchanges, musical tours, and social events.

A new committee with Deputy Lieutenant Kay Gauld as chair, Susan Carr as secretary, James Allan as treasurer and repsentatives from Banffshire groups are preparing to visit Kronach in July 2026.  These groups include

Deaf and Disabled Society Aberchirder.

All of the above will be be giving performances in different venues throughout Kronach.
