It was a very busy year for RSCDS Banffshire Branch.
The Queen's Platinium Jubiliee
Alice Archibald and Linda Thomas members of the RSCDS Banffshire Branch, represented the branch at the Service of Thanksgiving held on Sunday 29th May in St Ninian's Forglen Church Turriff. Over the seventy years of her reign, HM The Queen has actively supported many charities and progessional groups. Sadly our Queen passed away in September 2022
The Portsoy Boat Festival
In June 2022 Linda Thomas organised a fun day at the Portsoy Boat Festival when members and friends of the RSCDS Banffshire Branch got together to promote Scottish Country Dancing
Outdoor summer Socials
The branch held their annual outdoor socials at the Sail Loft, Portsoy in July ahd August. Frank Thomson played for both of the events which were well supported by members and friends of the branch.
To end the year on a high!
The RSCDS Banffshire Branch were well represented at the annual AGM held in Glasgow in November 2022.
Anne Taylor received the RSCDS Scroll of Honour award on 5th November. Anne was nominated by RSCDS Banffshire Branch for her dedication and support to the branch for many years..
Gary Coull was elected as Chair Elect at the 2022 AGM.
The year ended with the branch Annual dance held in the Fisherman's Hall Buckie on 11th November 2022.
Everyone enjoyed the excellent music provided by Scott Band.
