Fundraiser for Kronach trip
Alice & Linda are very grateful to everyone who came to support the fundraising dance we held in Portsoy on Friday, 1st May. £280 was raised.
We had six sets and danced the night away to the wonderful music of Susie Simpson duo.
The programme was based around the dances suggested by the RSCDS for the International Day of Dance which was celebrated on the 29th April 2026

30 years teaching Scottish Country Dancing in Turriff

A farewell party took place on Monday evening 11th May to say farewell to Alice after teaching the Macduff SCD class for 32 years.
Lorna and Florence started Scottish Country Dancing with Alice 32 years ago. It was a very emotional evening as great friendships had formed over the years.
Alice is not hanging up her dancing shoes and we look forward to seeing her again at future Scottih Country Dances.

Happy memories of Alice's Monday evening dance class is always full of fun and with great enthusiam she creates for her dance class. Mistakes on our part are often made - right hand wheel or pass right shoulder as we hold out our left hand and pass left shoulder - other left is heard from Alice with a smile and a chuckle.
Alice always made us all welcome with her 'couthie' way she has.
Enjoy your FREE time and
"Keep Dancing"
Irene
